These fifth and sixth grade students made their own paper anemometers during this activity day and also used kid wind-sets to test different types, sizes, and numbers of blades with a fan and see how the differences affected blade speed

Activity Day
We left our first introductory activity day at Ann Arbor Open with a thumbs up. We brought our 3D printed blades and our tail fin in for show and tell.

Build Session
The Woven Wind Electrical Team built this light display for Ann Arbor STEAM to visually show students the power level the current wind speed is providing.

Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum Event
Woven Wind partnered with Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum to design and build a portable wind turbine exhibit for events to help kids learn about sustainability and wind energy.
Allen Elementary Project
Local press including The Ann Arbor News came out to support us when we setup and demonstrated our working wind turbine at Allen Elementary!
Sarah Nebitt from the Multidiscipinary Design Program joined us at one of our Saturday build sessions at the Wilson Center.
